This was the first time experience at making a knife and I can say I really enjoyed the experience. Willy was so patient with the group as well as educational, he really knows his stuff.
At the end of the day I was so proud and educated on making a real hand crafted knife. I intend to go back and make another type of knife.
Angela put on a great service in providing the various food choices and refreshments we all had full bellies.
I would highly recommend having a go at making one of these high quality knives,it's fun, entertaining and very friendly.
Thanks guys so very much for the experience and will see you again soon.

I was busy in the kitchen yesterday and realised I didn’t give you any feedback on the Cleaver... Well it’s fantastic, not only does it power through tough stuff but what a great option for fine slicing and chopping of herbs and chillies etc…a few of my other knives are getting put out of work now.
Anyway great job love it and of course it looks amazing.

For custom knifework, you really can't get any better than Willie & Angela from Kiwi Blade Knives. They made cooking knives for our son who is a competition steak cook, and the craftmanship and attention to detail was second to none. The knives we have bought from KBK's will last a lifetime and more. You don't see quality like this everyday. Definitely recommend.

We did the knife making course on 6/06/2020 with Willie, and what an epic day! Starting the beginning of the day with no knowledge of knife making and a piece of paper, ending the day with a completed knife. Fun throughout the day, good yarns from Willie and great food from Ange. Recommend to all. Also we've bought 3 knives from Willie in the past 6 months. One from the Mangawhai markets for a gift, and two custom made as wedding presents - which the recipients were very, very happy with. So if you're in need of a new knife, a fun day out or a present Kiwi Blades is the place to go!

The amazing team of Angela and Willie have made this knife making course a day to remember. If you are considering having a go at making your own knife I couldn't recommend a better place to do it. Both Angela and Willie's friendly approach and wealth of knowledge help you to create something that you will be proud to show off and treasure forever...I know I sure will.
