Avant Garden is an Auckland-based wedding florist creating flowers that are anything but ordinary. We design florals that reflect your style, your space, and your vibe. I’m Alyssa – the florist behind Avant Garden. I've been a florist for over 20 years and spent 6 of those years in Los Angeles working with one of the world’s top celebrity florists, designing for high-end events, fashion houses, and VIP clients who expected perfection every time. I bring that same creativity and attention to detail to weddings here in Auckland. The process is simple, relaxed, and tailored to you. No minimum spend, no long forms. Just a super friendly conversation, a clear plan, and beautiful flowers that hit the brief. If you’re after something a bit different, I’d love to hear what you’re planning.

Booked Alyssa to do my wedding flowers for our wedding at Bracu in March 2026. Alyssa was an absolute professional and very easy to work with - great customer service, patient and accommodating with my million questions. She worked with me and my budget without compromising the theme and vision for the day. No question or request was too small; I never had to chase after her. My flowers from Alyssa were ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! 🌷🌹🌸🌺🪷🪻🌼🌻 Everything I could have dreamed of ~ from the bright beautiful blooms in my mind to the flower crown of my dreams ~ she nailed all of it! AND she was sooooo lovely to work with 🤩 Answering all of my questions, going back and forth, I never felt like I was bothering her, she was happy to work within my budget and made it all so easy! I would absolutely recommend Alyssa to everyone! ☺️

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Alyssa for our wedding day flowers, and she was truly a dream! From the beginning, she brought so much passion, knowledge, and understanding—especially when dealing with a bride (me!) who couldn’t decide on her own bouquet. We envisioned the most beautiful floral arrangements, and Alyssa not only helped bring those ideas to life, but added her own expert suggestions—letting us know what would work best, what was in season, and how to create the perfect balance. On the day, she and her team executed everything so beautifully. When my husband saw the flowers set up, he said that was the moment he finally relaxed—because they were exactly what we had imagined: timeless, elegant, and just the right amount of drama. Everyone also commented on how amazing the flowers were as well as the quality of them. I’m still dreaming about my flowers and honestly wish I could do it all over again, just to work with Alyssa once more. Can’t wait for our next collaboration—maybe our 10-year vow renewal in 2035 (lol)!

Absolutely incredible work by Alyssa for my recent wedding. She communicated clearly throughout the whole process even when booking my flowers a year in advance (orchids, if you know, you know!) We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better florist for our wedding than Alyssa. From our very first meeting together, she just got and understood our vision for our special day and when that day finally came around she brought it to life more beautifully than we could have imagined. Every bouquet and arrangement was stunning and thoughtful - the florals added so much to the feel of our wedding, and also we had so many compliments about them from our guests. The level of care and attention Alyssa put into everything was second to none and we feel so lucky to have had her be such a big part of our day. Couldn’t recommend her more highly :-)
