If you are reading the reviews deciding if you should book Lionel or not, I 100% recommend you book him! He has been amazing to work with. From the initial consult to our engagement shoot to the wedding day. We aren't use to being in front of a camera and felt a bit awkward to start with but Lionel made us completely at ease, it ended up being so much fun! Thank you so much Lionel!! Very easy to communicate to before and after our big day.
Me, my husband, and our guests loved having Lionel as our wedding photographer. He is so nice and gentle plus so good with children when taking photos. He tells you how to pose and position things properly before taking the shot. Totally have an eye for detail!
Most importantly, the photos came out so beautiful and magical 😍 just love love the photos!! Everyone said that the photos were beautiful taken. So big thumbs up to Lionel! 👍

From the first meeting with Lionel we found him to be calm, professional and accommodating. He knew we were not the most comfortable in front of the camera but somehow managed to get the absolute best out of both of us.
One of our requests was to include sunset photos. The images we
received back are fabulous, the light is just spectacular.
Everything went perfectly to plan (unheard of!) Our Wedding pictures are utterly stunning. We cannot recommend Lionel enough!

Lionel is an amazing photographer!
From our first interactions with him through to our wedding day, he was super professional and highly responsive, as well as personable and so easy to work with.
On the day, he made all the guests feel relaxed and at ease, and was both friendly and helpful with instructions during our bridal party photos. He also stayed around after our first dance even when our schedule was already running behind, which we deeply appreciated.
Having just received our teaser photos, we could not be happier, they look outstanding! We love the candid shots that show all the little moments which allow us to relive our special day <3

Lionel was incredible on our wedding day and leading up to it. He was in contact at all times before our wedding and he answered every one of my 200 questions clearly. On the day Lionel was friendly & blended in as if we had known him for years. He caught every shot & went out of his way to get particular shots I requested. We received comments from our friends & family about how great our photographer was & some people even asked for his details. Our photos were far better than we ever expected, absolutely breathtaking!! Now that we have used Lionel he will be our only go to for photography. Thanks Lionel!

Lionel is so amazing in what he does! We really love all our photos and its so hard to pick our favourites. We are so blown away by the photos and it made us relive the special day all over again. He is so easy going and very easy to work with during the day, lots of fun and laughters! Alan is usually not the camera person but he made him feel at ease. We also love all the candid shots and just can’t stop uploading them in our social media. The whole experience was amazing together with our videographers, their tandem are honestly the best.

We loved having Lionel at our wedding day! At times we forgot he was even there! We absolutely loved all our pictures, he captured our day so well. He was able to capture our day by himself but also offered the service to bring an extra person on board. We got an extensive range of pictures and he travelled to both of our houses before the wedding as well. Thanks heaps Lionel!!

Lionel was our photographer for our pre-wedding and wedding events and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very professional yet so easy to get along with! On the actual event days, he was very good at giving direction and took pictures of every little detail. Our couple photoshoots were fun, and he didn't make us feel awkward at all. He had experience shooting at and near our venues so he knew exactly where to take us which saved us a lot of time.
When we received our photos, I was in tears. They were just perfect! He captured so many beautiful moments and they were beautifully edited. I would (with no doubt) recommend Lionel as a special event/wedding photographer or even if you just want to do a couples photoshoot.

Lionel was the photographer for our wedding on Waiheke Island. We picked him because he had an excellent portfolio of photos on his website and we loved the way he captured light in his pictures. He is also really personable and interested. We did an engagement shoot with Lionel in Auckland which resulted in some amazing photos with a beautiful sunset. It was also great practice for the wedding, so I highly recommend. During the wedding itself, Lionel got everywhere, taking photos left, right and centre. He's got a knack for making you forget he's there while still capturing all of the important moments. His photos are edited so nicely and got lots of 'wow' responses when we showed them to friends and family. We love them and we're so glad to have our memories of the day captured by Lionel.

Lionel is amazing!
From when we first met him, we knew he was the photographer for us. He is absolutely on to it and made everything so easy. Lionel was a breeze to work with on our wedding day. Neither of us had any experience in front of a camera but everything was natural and felt really easy, most of the time we had no idea that Lionel was snapping away! He also got along well with the guests and they were all raving about how he is such a cool guy.
We got our preview really quickly as well so we were very happy about that and we absolutely love the photos.
We just cant recommend Lionel enough, he was absolutely fantastic.

When searching for our photographer for our wedding my wife and I had several photographers lined up to meet and chat with. Lionel was the first photographer we met up with and we instantly knew he would be the perfect person to capture our big day along with the precious moments!
His professionalism and passion for what he does absolutely shone through and he made us feel so much more at ease regarding the whole process! He offered us some great advice not only with the photography but other things to do with the wedding, and always responded to emails and questions extremely fast!
On the day he was great and connected well not only with us but with the guests too! When we received our preview photos we were extremely impressed with the quality of these and have had so many compliments from family and friends! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional photographer!

Highly recommended, we're very happy with the results of Lionel's work, a wide range of candid and posed photos capturing all of the important moments.
He's got a good sense of artistic styling he's trying to frame into the photo, comfortably guiding the subject, is very easy to work with and communicates clearly about what he's trying to catch in the moment.

I highly recommend Lionel as an amazing wedding photographer. We really wanted someone who was easy going and was able to make us feel comfortable on the day. Lionel was really funny, got on well with everyone, super organised and knew the location of our wedding, which was helpful as he knew all the good spots for photos. My fiance and I are not used to being in front of a camera and we were after a professional who could give us guidance, make us feel comfortable and provide us beautifully soft and romantic looking photos.
