Mikayla was a fantastically charming, professional & calming presence at our wedding, putting us at ease very early on and doing a wonderful job of documenting our big day. Initially, we weren't sure about getting a photographer at all, but we're so glad we did now and we honestly cannot recommend her highly enough. And her photos are beautiful!

Mikayla was fantastic and played a huge part in helping our special day run as smoothly as possible. From the meetings before the wedding, she was a staunch professional and full of great ideas to a couple who were painfully nonchalant. On the day she was a dervish, due to extreme weather conditions most of the planning went out of the window but Mikayla was spectacular at thinking on her feet to get some magical shots in adverse conditions. Going well above and beyond the call of duty on the day, the range of photographs were fantastic. The bride and groom shots are beautiful and the candid shots are taken with an incredible eye for capturing raw emotion. The overall package was amazing and I couldn't recommend her enough. Thanks Mikayla!

Mikayla did our engagement shoot (which she wowed us with even though one of us fell in the ocean!), and then wowed us again every step of the way. From location scouting, to coffee dates, to lighting ideas, to sending us free prints, to staying an extra hour for sunset, and to saving us from a phoney photographer that ended up in the newspaper as a fraud! Mikayla is worth every single cent. She knows exactly how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera with her extensive knowledge of lighting, posing cues and loved up couples. She is a big-hearted person with nothing but love for every person she works with. I will never stop recommending her.

I have only one word for you as a photographer - WOW. Choosing you was one of the absolute best decisions we made for our wedding day. You were professional, fun and made us feel so relaxed on our special day. You spent so much time scouting out special locations for us, and your style suited our personalities perfectly. We instantly felt at ease in front of your camera - something we were both quite nervous about. We were never too keen on typical ‘posed’ wedding photos - we just wanted to be us, enjoy our special day together and to have all of the special moments captured forever. You did this perfectly. You even managed to sneak in some moments where we were totally unaware of your presence. You truly are one special photographer with so much Aroha, energy and passion to offer. Mikayla, we honestly could not thank you enough for the way you managed to capture our wedding day into memories that will last a lifetime.
