Their wedding space is a contemporary take on the antipodean shed: a rough, utilitarian construction featuring unique designs make it a perfect wedding space, both malleable and full of character. It boasts a large woodburner, custom macrocarpa benches and outdoor table made from Himalayan cedarwood, a magical fire pit that will have any wedding roaring to life, and so much more. The shed combines sturdy engineering with vintage joinery in order to make it a blank canvas for your wedding.
They're a limited space, only hosting a handful of lucky brides and grooms per year, committed to reducing their footprint through rainwater treatment and solar power. Little Wilderness is a wholesome and down-to-earth wedding venue. You will celebrate your marriage amongst your loved ones whilst helping our planet.

My partner and I recently used Little Wilderness for both our wedding ceremony and reception and we couldn't be happier with how things turned out. The outdoor setting was stunning on a nice sunny afternoon. The indoor area was perfect for the rustic theme we were going for. Katie and George were incredibly professional and easy to deal with and helped bring the whole day together into something we'll remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you Katie and George!

Loved visiting the venue and celebrating with friends. There's a big barn that can fit a large groups of guests, and the surrounding area is really stunning, especially as the sun goes down. In terms of travel time considerations, it's close enough to Auckland Central get back home within 30mins, but remote enough to feel like you're truly out in the country. Recommend checking out if you are into a special, undiscovered place to host a corporate event or wedding.

Was fortunate enough to spend a few days here writing / recording music. What a privilege. A secluded and inspiring environment surrounded by native trees and a running river. I would highly recommend to any musician looking for a creative retreat. The place even has a resident baby grand piano! One of Auckland's hidden gems.
