Auckland's Most Stunning Mainland Vineyards

By Maria Yeonhee Ji

You’ll often find that the elements that make for a perfect wedding converge on the rolling grounds of a vineyard. Beautifully maintained outdoor spaces designed to keep people wandering around in a festive state of enthrallment, restaurants on-site that are experienced in the provision of foods that keep the merriment going, and a never-ending supply of the best wines grown in New Zealand… Every estate has its own character and features that distinguishes it in some way, and exploring vineyard venues can be an extremely fun way of conducting ‘research’ for your wedding planning with your partner or bridal party. To help you get started, here is our shortlist of the most stunning vineyards to be found in the Auckland region.

Situated on a stunning 10-acre property in Kumeu, the grounds of this family-owned estate have been developed over the years to feature five distinct ceremony locations (including garden areas and water features) that channel different aspects of the vineyard aesthetic and make for exquisite, outdoor photography backdrops. Muriwai beach is also located nearby should you want a seascape for your post-ceremony photographs, and add variety to the captured memories you’ll have of your big day.
