Pet Chauffeurs

Asking a friend or family member to look after your fur baby for the whole day can feel like a lot.. so that's where pet chauffeurs come in.

Who knew a whole profession was dedicated to pet chauffeuring for weddings and special events? Not us!

Depending on the package you select - a pet chauffeur will take your dog in the morning, care for them, bring them to your venue, escort them, and then return them to you when you're ready!

With a pet chauffeur, you can rest assured that your dog will be in the best care and will receive walks, correct meal times, treats, toilet and clean-up, any dress-ups you may want, and transportation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my dog behave?

You are the only one who knows your dog - so it's up to you to make a judgement call on their manner and whether you see any problems arising. Ensure your dog is comfortable with kids, other pets, or guests who may approach them. If your dog is anxious or skittish around groups of people, it may be wise to leave them at home with a dog-sitter. No one wants an upset pup, especially on your wedding day!

How do I manage guest allergies?

Let guests know that your furry baby will be at the wedding on your wedding website, in invitations, or in a reminder email. This way, any guests with allergies have time to stock up on antihistamines or know to keep their distance.

Can I bring my dog to the venue visit?

Check with the venue beforehand, but most will allow you to bring your dog with you on your pre-wedding visit. This allows your dog to explore the venue before the wedding and get familiar with the smells and spaces. It'll also give you peace of mind to see your dog in that environment before the big day.

Where do I take my dog if they feel overwhelmed?

Most venues should have a quiet area where your dog can take breaks if they feel overwhelmed. Remember to ask this at your venue visit. Your pet chauffeur should be made aware of these spaces so they know where to take your dog for a walk or time out.

How do I keep my dog safe?

Avoid any low-standing grazing tables - make sure alcohol, chocolate, and other dangerous foods are elevated and out of reach for a dog.

Another thing you may want to consider is putting an Apple AirTag or similar on your dog's collar for the day of the wedding. An AirTag is a simple tracking device that connects to your phone and shows your dog's real-time whereabouts. This will be a lifesaver in the unlikely event that your dog gets spooked and escapes the property.

Can my dog be the ring bearer?

Of course! There are several roles your dog can play at your wedding.

Ring bearer

This is the most popular role for dogs at weddings. To ensure a smooth experience, we recommend attaching the rings to a secure pouch on the collar or harness, and if you're concerned about your dog going rogue, have your pet chauffeur walk or guide your dog down the aisle

Flower Dog

If you'd like your dog to visually match the wedding theme, this is a chance to dress your dog with a floral collar or a cute little outfit. Whatever you choose, ensure that your dog is comfortable and not irritated by what they're wearing.

Escort for the Bride or Groom

Having your dog walk down the aisle with you is a really sweet touch, especially for those whose dog is part of the family. Whether your dog is well-behaved on a leash or off-leash, rehearse the aisle walk at your wedding rehearsal.
