Brista and Robert's intimate wedding was held at the elegant Howick Historical Village, where they were surrounded by a small guest list of loved ones.
What do you consider the best investment you made, and why?
"It was really hard to choose between the venue, the photographer, and the celebrant. Howick Historical Village is definitely a catch. It has perfect indoor and outdoor areas. We are also fond of its rustic and fantastic style. Our photographer was magical! She caught all the details and sparkles. Our celebrant was amazing, too. She was warm, welcoming, and talented."
Did you include any non-traditional elements?
"We were so blessed to get married after the pandemic. Thus, still many things cannot be planned. My parents could not make it on time, so I walked down the aisle by myself. We had a grazing table, Brazilian snacks and drinks for our guests. Thus, we didn't need to think about the seat assignment. People could sit or stand and mingle - whatever they liked. We also had no first dance. But we hired an amazing solo band to entertain our guests. Everyone enjoyed and danced a lot."
What is one thing that surprised you?
"My husband-to-be was crying all the time. Our vows cracked everyone but also made them cry. Everyone loved the cake and ate it all up, no waste at all. My best friend and my maid of honour had a heart-to-heart moment with me at the end; both of us bawled our eyes out."
