"After being introduced through a mutual friend, Emily and Adam quickly crossed paths on a big night out. They shared their first date in 2020 on Auckland's Waterfront, and that evening changed everything."

"About this time a year ago, after dinner at Bivacco, under the guise of heading to Devonport for drinks with friends, Adam made a detour to a small beach, got down on one knee and asked his beautiful Em to spend the rest of her life with him. It was perfect. Emily was hit by such overwhelming love and joy at once and responded with the surest 'yes' she had ever given."

What was one non-negotiable for your wedding?
"Our dog Zara as our ring-bearer!"

Did you include anything non-traditional in your wedding?

"My parents both walked me to the start of the aisle & then I walked on my own! It was important to me that both my parents lead me some of the way as they both have shared an important part in my life."

What do you consider the best investment you made, and why?

"Our photographer, Amanda Thomas, for sure! We really searched long and hard for someone who matched our style! Photo & Video was another non-negotiable for me as I am a very visual person!"

What is one thing that surprised you?

"How quickly the day goes! I know everyone says this, but I'd do anything to go back & relive it! I feel like I missed so many parts because of how quickly things moved."

What advice would you share with other couples beginning their wedding planning journey?

"Pinterest, Instagram and TikTok are your best friends! I used these for my vendors, ideas, mood boards, etc. Don't spend too much; things you might fret about that are non-negotiables to you, you might not even notice on the day.
