Jeanelle & Nadine

These two met at high school when Jeanelle moved to New Zealand from the Philippines. Over time, their friendship grew into something more, and in February 2024, they officially wed!

Why did you two choose Bracu Estate as your wedding venue?

"We chose this venue for its simple yet elegant setting. Surrounded by olive groves, Bracu creates a romantic atmosphere. The Marquee felt like the perfect place to exchange vows. The food was exceptional, and the peaceful setting made us and our guests feel truly at ease."

Can you tell us about your dresses?

"We didn't see each other's wedding dresses until the wedding day. We shopped separately with friends who ensured the dresses differed: Jeanelle opted for an elegant satin dress, while Nadine chose a lace wedding dress. Jeanelle's veil was borrowed from her sister-in-law, her mom gifted her jewellery, and her heels were from Chaos & Harmony. Nadine's jewellery was her "something blue and borrowed" from her mom, and she wore burgundy block heels from Chaos & Harmony."

What was a highlight of the wedding?

"The night before the wedding was meant to be a quiet gathering, but 'just one drink' quickly turned into a full-blown party. We partied until 5 AM and were up again at 7 AM for the wedding. Despite the chaos, it is one of our best memories from the wedding."

Did you have a vision for your wedding styling?

"Our theme was Burgundy. We believe red is our lucky colour, but preferred a deeper, richer shade of burgundy. Special touches included Bracu Olive Oil favours for guests and customized cocktails named after our cats, Henry and Tootsie"

What advice would you offer to other couples planning their wedding?

"Book your venue and vendors early, trust the professionals, don't stress over minor details, and take moments to soak it all in with your partner. Most importantly, enjoy the day—it's about celebrating love!"
