A fusion wedding of epic proportions, Jordan and Varun blend their heritages to celebrate their marriage in elegant style, surrounded by loved ones at Rydges Formosa Golf Resort.

"I instantly thought, who is this gorgeous man in a suit so sharp? We had such similar interests it was very intriguing - it stemmed from there, and we just wanted to see one another again and again."

What was the proposal like?

"I had no idea about the proposal. Varun was very clever in hiding it all. Little did I know that he was personally hand-crafting a ring box. He had planned a trip to Queenstown for our first anniversary. He said, "I have never been there before," but the pandemic hit. He still made that moment happen six months later. I had no clue. Varun planned such a stunning trip and surprised me with a helicopter flight to the top of Mount Remarkable when he asked me to be his wife - that moment was so incredible."

What kind of wedding did you plan?

"A three-day Fusion Wedding - Indian and European. Very unique!"

Did everything go to plan?

"Almost! The weather was a bit wet - but with our vendors, we managed to pull through. It was such a shuffle, but we couldn't have been more grateful for how everyone pulled together at the end. We had the most magical day!"

Who was your outstanding wedding vendor?

"Weddings NZ, Zahn, Side Project Films, Covers Hire, Alexandra Burridge and Rachel Mackwood. We researched photographers beforehand; Ben and Zahn totally got our concept, and we had a lot of fun working with them over so many lockdowns. They were super creative and fun with how busy everything was - it was all captured beautifully."
