Where did it all begin?
"Our story began on Tinder. Yes, you can find love on Tinder! Back in 2021, Keanu messaged me with the pickup line, 'Me, you, Korean BBQ, how 'bout it?' From there, we met at a bar and have been inseparable ever since.
Within the first two weeks of dating, Keanu told me he loved me in Farsi (Persian). I was teaching him a few words, including 'dooset daraam,' which means 'I love you.' I told him to only say it if he actually meant it — and then he said it again!
Within three months we moved into our own apartment together and began building our life together. In 2023 we welcomed our baby boy into the world — our biggest blessing. After three years of dating and one year of being engaged, we finally decided to tie the knot."

What aspect of your day was most important to you?
"It definitely would have been having such a small, close-knit family wedding. Having only our closest family and friends there made the occasion feel so intimate and meaningful. It felt really special to celebrate such an important day surrounded by the people we love most."

What was the best investment you made for your wedding?
"Choosing Abel Estate. From the first time we reached out to them through after the wedding, the team made the whole experience feel seamless. It was also such a full-circle moment that they had Korean-inspired food on their menu! You honestly couldn't put a price tag on the amazing experience we had."

Did you put your own twist on any traditions, or break a few entirely?
"Yes! We had children at our wedding and involved them throughout the whole event. We believe that children are such a blessing, and we wanted them to be just as involved as the adults. Our son stood by our side for most of the ceremony, and that was such a special moment for both him and us. It was really important to us to have him there and be part of such a special moment in our lives."

What's something that caught you off guard?
"I forgot my wedding dress! And didn't realise until I was only 10 minutes away from walking down the aisle. Thankfully, my neighbour was able to save the day, and I was only 'fashionably' late walking down the aisle. Looking back, it's definitely one of those wedding moments we can laugh about now and will probably never forget."

What advice would you pass on to other couples just getting started?
"Don't overthink the small things! You'll feel like you're drowning in options and have endless decisions to make, but just go with what feels right for the two of you. It's so easy to get caught up in trying to please everyone else, but at the end of the day, this is your wedding. The little things won't matter nearly as much as the memories you make — so enjoy it, don't sweat the small stuff, and make the day yours!"

Tell us about your dream team
"Definitely Chelsea from Abel Estate! She was absolutely incredible throughout the whole process and genuinely felt like part of our family by the end of it. She was so caring and helpful, and always went above and beyond for us. We couldn't have asked for a better person to have by our side on the day.
Also a special mention to our photographer, Carl from Dark Room Journal Studios. He captured our special day so beautifully. He made us feel so comfortable and at ease while keeping everything fun and relaxed. The photo booth that was included was definitely the cherry on top, and it was so nice having our guests go home with a special memory from the day."
