Maddison & Jackson

Photography by Ellie Kia

Maddison and Jackson shared that one of their favourite moments from their wedding day was "looking around and seeing a room full of people they love enjoying themselves and connecting."

What was your wedding photography experience like?

"Our photographer was the best investment we made. You can't put a price on the memories she was able to capture."

We aren't big photo people, and the thought of being in front of the camera made us both a little uncomfortable, but Ellie made those fears disappear from our first "hello.

She was wonderful. She was direct when she needed to be but then disappeared to let little moments happen on their own."

Vendor shout-outs 🤍

"To Pete and the team at Homeland Restaurant- we couldn't have done it without you.

Our celebrant, Ross Longdon- for giving us the ceremony of our dreams and making our family laugh.

Our florist, Emerald Flowers by Rekha, for the magic she sprinkled throughout our day."

What is one piece of wedding advice you'd share with other couples planning their wedding?

"When it gets closer to the day, learn to let go. The timeline doesn't matter. The tiny details don't matter. If you spend all your energy aiming for "perfect" you'll miss so many special moments. The best parts of the day won't be planned. Let them surprise you."
