Shayne & Shalini: a breathtaking Queenstown wedding.

A moment for the dress

"I opted for a red dress instead of white! Being half Indian and half English, I felt I needed to incorporate both traditions, and my amazing dressmaker Nazneen (Alter Me) not only accepted the challenge but also made me a dress better than I could have ever dreamed up!"

What was one of the most memorable moments?

"Our First Look. Not only because it was such an amazing moment but also because I was so anxious and had butterflies all morning. When I finally saw Shayne, I just totally relaxed and everything was perfect from there."

What advice would you share with other couples beginning their wedding planning journey?

"Don't forget whose wedding it is. It's so easy to get so caught up with what you think you should do, or others' expectations and opinions, and especially old traditions. I just really believe you should include what you want and leave out what you don't want. It's your day, it's always going to be costly, so you may as well get exactly what you both want! What will make you two happy."

What do you consider the best investment you made, and why?

"Definitely our wedding videos - I had already watched them 100 times within the first couple of weeks!"
