"We met in December 2020 through social media. We had our first date at the zoo. It went very well, and we became inseparable after that. In June 2022, we went to Vegas, where Deshan proposed very extravagantly at the Bellagio Hotel with the fountain and light show. It's been an amazing journey this past four years together and we couldn't be happier."

What was one non-negotiable for your wedding?

"It had to be an outdoor wedding with lovely photo opportunities at the wedding venue so we could do everything at the same place. Abel Estate offered that, and we loved how it was recently renovated and became a whole new venue."

What do you consider the best investment you made, and why?

"Definitely our photographer Lionel Tan and our videographer Jetmo. We also loved our venue and having a wedding planner through Abel Estate took our stress away."

What is one thing that surprised you?

"Having a wedding planner really took a lot of stress out as the vendors were supplied for us, and we didn't need to think of everything as they all did most of the work, which made wedding planning quite enjoyable."

What advice would you share with other couples beginning their wedding planning journey?

"Always plan every detail together as it's both your wedding day. I would like it if you could afford to get a wedding planner as it takes a lot of stress away as they do a lot of planning for the big day. Also, don't leave each other's side on the big day, and enjoy every moment as it really goes by so fast!"
