We found Ioana through Instagram and loved her photos so we reached out for her to photograph our wedding in November 2025.
From the very beginning she was really responsive, friendly and good to work with, and was really helpful via email / video call / txt leading up to the day, including helping us find a wedding videographer in the month leading up to our wedding!
To say the photos we received were incredible is understatement - Ioana captured every moment we had asked for and so much more that we had not even imagined and every photo was so beautiful and thoughtfully captured. Every person we had sent the photos to commented on how amazing they are also.
I had wondered how it’s possible for a photographer to have all 5 star reviews but I finally understood - Ioana is such a lovely person to work with in one of the most stressful periods of your life leading up a wedding and manages to keep so calm and collected during a hectic day. Every photo she takes is worth their weight in gold (our wedding photos looked like something out of a vogue pictorial and we were beyond shocked) and I’ve recommended her to anyone who needs a photographer!

Ioana - I can’t thank you enough for the beautiful job you did on our wedding day. From the moment I met with you, I knew you were the photographer for us. You were calming, passionate about intimate weddings and reassuring. My husband is not one to enjoy pictures but he genuinely really enjoyed our wedding day pictures thanks to Ioana’s direction and as she was also just a fly on the wall capturing our candid moments. The pictures turned out beautiful and Ioana was super helpful when it came to helping us with editing a couple of things with a few photos. We couldn't have asked for a better person to capture our wedding day! From start to finish, Ioana was organised and so easy to get along with. Even with a short ceremony, she knew exactly what photos to grab and made everything so easy. The wedding and day-after photos were beyond what we could hope for! The content creation was also a lovely addition to capture video snippets of our day. Would highly recommend!

Oh my, oh my! Ioana captured our wedding day in such a magical way! Looking at the photos now made us very emotional seeing our family and friends, and we truly felt the love and warmth through the photos. Ioana was an absolute dream to work with - we are from Singapore and were looking for a NZ based photographer to capture our Pre Wedding Shoot. We stumbled upon Ioana's profile @seleaphotography - and were obsessed with her portfolio as she captured the most dreamy and romantic photos of couples. We wanted the same magical experience and hired her for our PWS.
Firstly - she is highly professional - we had a zoom call briefing and she took our briefs really seriously and listened to our ideas and themes. All the way up to the shoot, we were communicating on Instagram and she was always quick to reply and very friendly to talk to, despite being miles apart.
During the shoot, she made us feel at ease, and most importantly was extremely energetic and spirited which was so infectious. She guided us gently and created a relaxing atmosphere, which made it so easy for us to pose and smile genuinely. She captured the essence of our relationship so well on camera, and also had a good eye for scenic spots that would complement our outfits. She even scouted for locations before our shoot too, which goes to show how dedicated she is to making each shoot special.

Ioana took the photos for my wedding and also an engagement shoot. She was really friendly and fun to work with! She was also very professional and helpful: she suggested some great locations for the shoots, always showed up early, brought along props for us to use, and made us feel really comfortable and relaxed during the shoots. After the wedding, her photos only took a few weeks to get sent to us and they were amazing!!!

We got such beautiful wedding photos from Ioana, highly recommend her work! We loved her style of photography and she’s such a gem. Very easy to work with, confident in directing group photos and arranging the bridal party and prompt in getting the image gallery back. Such a great experience having her capture our day ☺️

Having Ioana shoot our wedding, I can honestly say is one of the best decisions we made for our day. First off, she is an absolute gem and is super amazing to work with. She is able to understand your vision and implement it so perfectly and professionally. She carries her self with such a sweetness but also knows how to get the job done (and a FANTASTIC job at that)! I distinctly remember saying to my husband as we drove away from our wedding “I don’t even care how the photos turned out, I’m just so glad we hired her”. But secondly, when we got the photos back they did NOT disappoint one bit! She was extremely timely and the quality was top notch. She captured so many beautiful moments that I didn’t get to experience throughout the day, as well as captured the ones I did in such a sweet way. There is not one bad thing I can say about her! She went above and beyond helping with little details throughout the day, producing amazing quality work and capturing our wedding in just the way I want to remember it. Do yourself a favour and hire her, you won’t regret it :)

After finding Ioana and her beautiful work on Instagram, my husband and I booked her for a shoot while we were visiting NZ for our honeymoon. Throughout the entire booking process she was so friendly, helpful and informative. On the day of the shoot she made us feel very comfortable; we had so much fun! We are over the moon with the photos we received and will cherish them for many years to come. Thank you Ioana!

Ioana was one of the first vendors I contacted after we got engaged. I’d seen her photos on Instagram and they are exactly what I was after; the quality, the mood and the personality. Ioana was so great to work with, no issues at all and made everything feel so breezy. She’s really good with posing you and your group. The photos are stunning!! Really captured the mood and the shots are beautiful. 10/10 recommend her to all engaged couples.
