Kristal and Seb

"I met the couple through some mutual friends, Tallie and Levi. Levi is an old friend of Seb's from when they were young. Tallie owns the amazing Relish & Rollick cafe in Silverdale - incidentally, she also made an incredible grazing table for the wedding. It was one of those things that just worked out in favour of everyone. Kristal and Seb are really relaxed and chill. All in all, they really just wanted to throw a fun party for their friends and family - so that's exactly what they did. Their wedding had to be postponed once because of the pandemic, so, unfortunately, there were about 50 people that couldn't make it. However, they decided to set up a massive Zoom call for everyone to virtually experience the big day, which was really cool in its own way. The whole atmosphere of the wedding was laidback. Everyone was having a good time, enjoying the food and drinks, talking and laughing. The couple is that way: they didn't want to make too much of a fuss over themselves. This wedding was for all their loved ones, and it was full of warmth as a result. Capturing that was a gift. It was especially fun taking photos because Kristal and Seb are the proud parents of two little girls. All four of them walked down the aisle together, which was extra special to watch. The photoshoot was everyone cruising the streets of Ponsonby in the afternoon light, with wide smiles and plenty of giggles. The happy couple stayed at a newly-opened boutique hotel, The Convent in Grey Lynn, and were actually the first guests to be staying there. I'd say that's a grand way to kick things off."
